A Joyful Christmas Celebration at Barton House

Santa please stop here sign

At Barton House, Christmas was a time filled with love, laughter, and plenty of festive spirit. Our team went above and beyond to ensure that the season was memorable for all, planning activities that brought joy and offered emotional, physical, and mental benefits to our residents.

Christmas time can sometimes overwhelm the senses, making it harder to process information, join in conversations, and feel at ease in bright, bustling environments. To support our residents during this time, our activities team meticulously plans the December schedule, ensuring each event is truly beneficial and inclusive for everyone.

The festive magic began as Barton House was transformed into a Winter Wonderland. The decorations set the tone for a cosy and cheerful atmosphere, making the home feel truly special throughout December.

Christmas Jumper Day was a particular highlight, with residents and staff proudly showing off their most festive knitwear. The day was packed with smiles, laughter, and a wonderful sense of community.

Another standout moment was our Christmas Party, which brought everyone together for an afternoon of fun and celebration. Residents enjoyed delicious food, great company, and an incredible performance by Trevor Santini, who delighted everyone with Christmas classics and festive tunes.

Christmas Day itself was the perfect finale to the festivities. Our chef prepared a traditional Christmas feast, and residents gathered around a beautifully set table to share the special meal together.

Rachel, Manager at Barton House, shared: “Christmas at Barton House was a time to come together and celebrate. Every moment was planned to ensure our residents felt the joy and warmth of the season as well as providing physical and mental benefits to the residents.”
